New improved warehouse solution in Hadsten

At the end of January our good employees moved our warehouse from Over Hadstensvej 42 to Over Hadstensvej 40 in Hadsten, Denmark.

“It went way better than we expected, and everyone has really made an admirable effort. It has been a demanding task, but the result speaks for itself” says Peder Mørch, Sales Manager of the Transmissions department.

Even though we didn’t move that far, it has still costed blood, sweat and tears (almost) – especially because we needed to do it in the middle of a national corona lockdown – but with extra distance, hand alcohol and a high spirit we managed to move about 1800 pallets and 2000 boxes (!!), and everything and everyone are now well in place in the new buildings.

Improved flow, optimized working conditions and more space
Since the acquisition of Hoyer Transmissions in April 2020, the department in Hadsten has shared warehouse with Hoyer. Therefore the movement has meant, that we have gathered all activities, so the flow is much better when the goods arrive – no matter if they it will be stocked, refined or passed to our quality department for measurement.

Furthermore, we have optimized several working areas:

  • A whole new inbound/outbound area has been established
  • 5 complete working stations for shipping with environmental optimized scissor tables, cranes, wrapping machines etc. has been established
  • New crane and test bench with frequency control have been established in the gear workshop for proper gear testing before leaving the workshop
  • The chain workshop has become 125m2, which creates space for potential brand-new chain cutting machine.
  • Our quality department has got its own measuring room with a heatpump to ensure the right temperature – to make sure the quality control is executed under the right condition
